Language & Learning Lead - Alakta Kar
An innate interest in language and the learning process has been the golden thread in her life and work.
After quitting a full-time career in advertising, she spent two enriching decades as a full-time mother to two. During this time, she helped her children and many others master the art of learning while staying actively engaged with evolving technology. She enjoys creating photographic gifts and keepsakes, as well as conceptualising and designing professional digital photobooks.
At Love & Faith Designs, she returned to her advertising roots as a consultant in client servicing and brand strategy.
Mentoring aspiring first-generation college students in the College to Career programme at iTeach Schools was a meaningful experience. When her mentees secured admission to private Indian universities with full financial aid in 2025, it reinforced her belief in the value of clear articulation nurtured by consistent guidance.
From Maatraa’s inception in 2016, her work has involved curating the content and shaping the training methodology for effective English communication. At the intersection of language and technology, Maatraa is her ode to effective expression.
